Shopping day!
Got up on the 8th and headed into the London central area for some shopping. Top of the list was Harrods, as well as.... Henley’s? The 5 story toy store, that sure isn’t cheap. They have a candy shop and a restaurant, sort of like a glorified Zellars, without the Z Burgers, or MSG. I could have spent a longer time there, but I didn’t want to buy much anyways. Harrods was a trip, with this ridiculous statue of Diana and her lover. Check out the photo. Homes has his shirt wide open, and they may have given him a nip and a tuck. Harrods really does have everything, though I didn’t see any automobiles, I did see most other things. They have a huge room full of Chocolate and chocolate flavoured things, and the market area looks like it has the best of all things authentic. From processed meats and cheese, to pastries, cakes, olives and nuts. All kinds of everything, where the upper class types do all their grocery shopping, or send someone to do it for them.
Did some shopping here and there, and all was well. The streets are well decorated for the season and it really feels like Christmas, minus the family and egg nog. Yeah, they don’t know about non-alcoholic egg nog here! Sure Thomas amusments even made it out for the event, with some festive rides. After shopping we grabed some food and headed back to Erins. That night we went to see WICKED, a musical about the wicked witch of the west and her side of the Wizard of Oz story line. It was a fun time, and then we went to bed I think.
